Juju the builder- can he fix it?

Julius Malema, during an interview with Redi Direko on Talk Radio 702

Yesterday Juju was the highlight in broadcast media. He had two back-to-back interviews on SAfm with Tim Modise and on Talk Radio 702 with Redi Direko. Tim’s interview was very serious but rather chilled whereas Redi had a heated argument with the Youth League. My verdict? Juju is doing his spin, and he’s doing it really well but I suspect it will be very short-lived. He’ll have to be a magician to get himself out of this one!

South African Film and Television Awards- PATHETIC!!!

I thought that since last year the SAFTAs didn’t go down they’d make up for it this year but the show was a sorry affair. Besides the fact that half the seats were empty, the technical aspect (sound and lighting) we laughable. I don’t know which was worse: the fact that award winners would take forever to come up the stage leaving the award presenter(s) with in an awkward “hurry-up-standing-up-here-like-a-dodo-is humilating-look or that half the time the reciepents were just not there. As for the presenter’s attire… no comment. Some of the main winners:

Best soapie: 7de Laan
Best actor in soapie: Seputla Sebogodi (Kenneth Mashaba in generations)
Best actress in soapie: Katlego Danke (Dineo Mashaba in Generations)
Best drama: A place called Home
Best drama ensamble cast: The Lab

Verdict… waste of time and money!

Minister’s relationship with wife FINALLY being explored

I read an article in the Sunday Times about Sheryl Cwele’s (Siyabonga Cwele’s wife) case on Friday last week. What I really liked about the article though is how Sunday Times focused on the minister’s relationship with his wife which other news outlets had not really been focusing on. I was chuffed cause since the story broke I’ve been like: “Helllllooow am I the only one who has a problem with the fact that this is the minister of STATE SECURITY’s wife in a scandal with druglords?” Eish. But Im glad Im not the only one- the Sunday Times and I.
